Droylsden Carnival

In July 2000, DLT entered at float at Droylsden's annual carnival. We decorated our 20 foot lorry (on loan from haulage company, Rayners) as a Victorian stage set, with a painted 'audience' running around the bottom. The decoration of this set was particuarly frantic as our members had performed a Variety Show AND a Melodrama in the same weekend!

Our Twin Town

Also in 2000, members of DLT and the theatre in our twin town exchanged visits. Actors from Villemomble (just outside Paris) visited Manchester and were treated to an evening of karaoke, whilst our delegation of Hazel Phillips, Peter Keeling, Malcolm Cooper, John Carroll, and Steve Hyde were made extremely welcome when they stayed in France.
Pictures of their visit are below (click to enlarge).
