News
Welcome!
The good news for the smokers amongst you is that our remote control awning has been installed in front of the main entrance, and it now provides much needed shelter from the cruel winter elements. More improvements (including heating and furniture) will be made to this area as we progress into the season, so thanks for your patience.
We have received many positive comments about the smoking ban from our patrons, and the bar is definately much pleasanter for it, so why not stay after the show and enjoy a drink at DLT?
Finally, please can all members and visitors to the theatre remember to park their cars considerately? There is a car park just off Medlock St which can be used outside of Medlock Primary School hours, and our own car park just off Castle Close. We don't want to upset our lovely neighbours.
Awards
This year we acquired some more silverware with the following awards, won at the One Act Play Festival, and the GMDF Awards:

- The Theatre Royal Trophy was won by the cast of ‘Womberang’ for team work in the theatre - thanks go to Norma Raif for directing this production.
- The Jack Hetherington Trophy AND the Best Junior Actor Award were won by Lee Hiorns.
- Nick Worthington was also awarded a Certificate of Merit
